Nothing Clever Ever
Everyone else is reflecting on the year behind us. For me 2011 was terrible, amazing, beautiful, exciting and painful. Sometimes all at once, but mostly in seasons. In a lot of ways it was a year of growth. I have always been one of those ‘one step forward two steps back’ kinda gals though. I can grow tremendously in one area while forsaking another entirely. I am all or nothing....

For example, recently a missionary came to visit us at the U.S. Center for World Mission and he was telling our staff of his new orphanage which was now caring for fifty children. We asked how many of these children were really orphans—children without parents. A little embarrassed, he...

$22 On My 22nd Birthday! →
Because I don’t need more money or more things…

That would help us raise a little over $2,000 and it would make me the happiest birthday girl. To donate you can go to: www.abidefamilycenter.org and click on the PayPal link at the top right...
I can pretty much count on the same two...
The “What do your tattoos say?” and “Why do you want to go over there to Africa when there is so much need here?”
I turn 22 in an hour and a half. That’s cool. I’ve already been 22 in Uganda for 6 hours or so. “does it hurt to be two ages at once?” Christmas was great. Tomorrow will be great.
Happy Boxing Day to my Canadian friends.

Merry Christmas Eve
I can not wait to crawl into bed and sleep for so long and then wake up to wrap gifts and partake in all the festivities of the next 3 days. Thankful for much. Hope everyone has a great next few days as well. Enjoy the ones you love.
